WEBTOON Business

Strong in webtoon sourcing through strategic alliances with leading distribution agencies, enabling a steady pipeline of high-quality webtoons and webtoon IP.
Our webtoon business portfolio centers on securing or producing webtoon IP with partners—studios, web-novel communities, and distribution agencies—then supplying that content to overseas platforms and producers for local publishing. We also co-operate webtoon education programs in target markets and expand into secondary IP businesses built on webtoon IP.

Webtoon Content Distribution

We are building across the value chain: acquiring and producing webtoon content, establishing overseas distribution networks, and expanding webtoon academies into global markets.

Japan Market

  • Publishing in Japan follows a multi-platform strategy that splits secured titles into adult and general segments.
  • For adult content, we have an active supply agreement with DMM.com, the market’s most influential adult platform, and distribution is underway. For general content, we plan to contract with the platforms that offer the best publishing efficiency and the strongest leverage for future secondary IP expansion.
  • Supplied titles are published on each platform to generate subscription and advertising revenue, while laying the groundwork to expand into secondary IP businesses such as film, drama, games, and character goods.

  • Runs diversified offline businesses, including solar power, auctions, and 3D printing.

Global Distribution

  • Since signing a webtoon content supply agreement with Japan’s largest content portal, DMM.com, in 2023, we have been securing additional partnerships with online content platforms, ISPs, and publishers across multiple countries for webtoon content and license distribution.
  • We are continuously expanding our target markets and partner network to position our company as a global hub for webtoon-driven content distribution.

Imported Content Distribution

  • Beyond exporting Korean webtoons, we acquire rights to high-quality overseas webtoon, manga, and web-novel content and distribute it through our contracted global platforms. Our first title is Taiwan’s modern wuxia classic “The Legend of the Swordsmen of Shu Mountains (蜀山劍俠傳),” for which we hold overseas distribution rights and are expanding globally.
  • We are also expanding supply from Japanese content platforms and publishers under distribution agreements, with plans to roll out Japanese manga content across Korea, Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.

Original Production

  • To secure original webtoon IP, we are directly producing “Jangsaeng (長生),” a grand baduk saga written by Kim Se-young—one of Korea’s top story writers with credits including Tazza, Mr. Q, and Oh! Han River—and illustrated by the team behind the hit action-noir The Godfather of SEOUL. Selected in June 2024 by the Korea Creative Content Agency as a Content Specialized Guarantee work, the series is in production with planned serialization on Naver Webtoon and multiple overseas platforms, followed by investment from global OTT services for a drama or film adaptation.
  • Going forward, we will selectively produce webtoon content only when it demonstrates strong competitiveness, securing high-quality titles and proactively driving secondary IP expansion.

Webtoon Outsourcing

Together with local partners, set up the "Global Webtoon Academy," deliver online/offline curricula and educational content, and dispatch instructors to lead and support creator training on the ground.
  • We are preparing to establish “Webtoon Academy @ Vietnam” in partnership with VTC Online, Vietnam’s state broadcaster, targeting the second half of 2025, and "Webtoon Academy @ Bangladesh" with Link3 Technologies, the country’s leading ISP, targeting the first half of 2026. Beyond Singapore and Bangladesh, partners in Malaysia, the Philippines, and India have shown strong interest in establishing and operating webtoon academies in their countries, and we expect steady expansion.
  • The Global Webtoon Academy goes beyond creator training. In each country, it builds and operates a local Webtoon Content Portal, uploads works by students and graduates to create debut opportunities, sparks a webtoon culture boom, and expands into a revenue-generating business in the local market.
  • Outstanding works uploaded to the local portal are elevated to our Global Webtoon Platform and global distribution network for wider publishing in markets such as Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, helping creators grow as global authors and maximize earnings.

2nd IP Expansion

Create and sell character merchandise

Develop games

  • Beyond subscription and advertising revenue from Japan and Southeast Asia, secured webtoon IP serves as source material for secondary IP expansion across films, dramas, games, animation, and character merchandise, maximizing monetization.
  • There is a growing trend of leveraging webtoons as source material for short-form dramas, and we are receiving inquiries from short-form production companies in Japan and China, expanding our business opportunities.
